Profile of Neo Tiong Wee
Mr Neo Tiong Wee is a seasoned operations executive, business transformation expert and veteran in organisational learning and capability development.
Neo is the General Manager and Principal Consultant of Kaizen Consulting Group. He has more than 25 years of experience in the field of training, consulting and management systems implementation.
Prior to joining Kaizen Consulting Group in 2005, Neo was the Regional Director in Pera Neville Clarke and the Neville Clarke group of companies ( now known as BSI Neville Clarke ) for more than 10 years. He grew the firm from a humble local consulting firm into a global consulting group with more than 120 consultants across 10 global cities.
When he was with Pera Neville Clarke, he founded the Pera Neville Clarke (PNC) Academy and introduced Lean, Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen to this part of the world. By doing so, he created a new Continuous Improvement movement and training industry which was later adopted by both the public and private sectors in Singapore as the foundation for productivity improvement and industry transformation.
During his tenure with Pera Neville Clarke, Neo was also appointed as the Asia Pacific Programme Director for the British Midlands Programme*, a special UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) programme to promote and facilitate inward investment into the United Kingdom. The primary objective of the programme is to drive economic development, business efficiency, investment and competitiveness, employment, skills and sustainable development in the East & West Midlands regions, England. (Note: *The British Midlands Programme is created and funded by two UK Regional Development Agencies (RDA): East Midlands Development Agency located in Nottingham, and Advantage West Midlands located in Birmingham, England.)
Neo is well reputed as the pioneer and active leader in the promotion, adoption and implementation of Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies in Singapore, South East Asia and the Asia Pacific region for the last 2 decades. He has trained, coached and managed more than 500 projects for both local and global organisations in the private and public sectors, spanning across a diverse range of industries (including engineering, manufacturing, precision engineering, logistics, office and administration), all with significant business improvement results. Neo’s approach focuses on long term sustainability of the improvement programmes by building up the clients’ own capabilities through learning and development of their employees.
Passionate about assisting local companies who have been lagging behind in terms of capabilities development, Neo has been working closely with local companies in the areas of business development, product development, process improvement and people development. He has also facilitated many international exchange programmes whereby overseas government agencies were invited to share best practices and experience with local agencies and companies.
